Henry McGrath is an actor and theatre director. His work is concerned with illuminating the human experience. He takes inspiration from Nature, spirituality, cultural traditions and British heritage as the beginning of any research process. His performances are poetic and dramatic expressions on universal subjects that have been described as “gripping and intense, grand and ambitious” (Upstaged, Manchester on Origins).

Henry trained at RADA on the MA Theatre LAB. He was an Associate Artist and principal performer at the internationally acclaimed Polish company, Song of the Goat theatre, where he was involved in all projects 2014-18, including playing the title role of Hamlet in their production Crazy God. He is Co-Founder and Deputy-Artistic Director at Animikii theatre, a physical theatre company located in Manchester. He directed their production, Origins based on the Cain & Abel story that has toured across the country including the Southbank Centre as part of a ‘Nation’s Theatre’ Festival and Edinburgh Fringe 2017 where it won ‘Pick of the Fringe’ by Voice Magazine.

Henry teaches embodied performance practice at institutions and drama schools across the UK. He is an Associate Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University where he leads all units on physical and vocal expression.

In 2009, he went to southwestern France to learn from Paul Oertel and Nancy Spanier, and from there began a 3-year quest, embarking on a rich process into psychophysical and metaphysical performance practice that continues to inspire his theatre work.

Eleanor Buchan is a performer focused on storytelling traditions and ritual practice. She has taught and performed in over twenty-nine countries, seeking out our oral mythic heritage and engaging in cross-cultural research-based practice.

Trained with Philippe Gaulier in Paris and at Central School of Speech and Drama , she has performed extensively with the award-winning 1927 and with acclaimed site-responsive company Dante Or Die. She is an Associate Artist of The Heroine Project Presents, the Authentic Artist Collective and collaborates with performative pop-up restaurant company Art For Eating, Twice Shy Theatre Company, composer Des O’Connor and playwright Lucy Kirkwood.

She is Co-Artistic Director at The Shadow Travellers, a storytelling company that researches the collective unconscious.

She leads workshops in the mythic imagination for adults and young people.  She provides training in communication skills for the corporate sector and has delivered theatre courses around the world. She lectures in contemporary British Theatre at Ithaca College, London and is Co-Director of Òran Work Centre.






Lizzie is a performer and theatre-maker specialising in performances that bring real lives from history to life. She runs her own company, The Heroine Project Presents.

Writing/directing credits include ‘No Petticoats Here’ (Louise Jordan); ‘Over the Top’ (The Heroine Project Presents); ‘The Red Shoes’ and ‘Suffragette City’ (YMT:UK summer courses). Writing credits: ‘The Bustle of Bristol’ (Mountview Academy). Assistant directing credits include ‘We’re Here Because We’re Here’ (Salisbury Playhouse and National Theatre); ‘Triptych’ (YMT:UK). Performing credits include Emily Bronte (Shared Experience); ‘Emily: the making of a militant suffragette’ (solo performance, The Production Exchange). As a member of Bath’s Natural Theatre Company, she has extensive experience of outdoor and site-specific theatre.

She has worked with directors including Trevor Nunn, Peter Hall, Nancy Meckler, Sean Mathias, Justin Audibert and Hal Chambers. She runs her own company:

Adam is an actor, theatre-maker, percussionist and composer.  After playing lead role ‘Seb’ in two series of CBBC’s ‘Yo! Diary’, he initially opted to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

He then worked extensively with orchestras and contemporary music ensembles around the world before being true to his passion for acting and moving to Paris to study at the Jacques Lecoq International School of Theatre. There Adam spent a revelatory three years, rediscovering the play of the actor and the innate desire to move while beginning to uncover the connections between different artistic mediums through our fundamental creative source.

Having paved a more authentic path forward, he moved to Poland to work with Song of the Goat Theatre, with whom he created new work and toured internationally.  He is now setting up his own company in the UK to create original multidisciplinary work and is also working closely with Eden’s Cave in both a theatrical and musical capacity.  Adam plays the music of Steve Reich internationally with the Colin Currie Group, hopes we will all start eating more live enzyme-rich food putting an end to pharmaceutical tyranny and is a keen golfer.

One of those last three statements is false.  Adam also believes we should be far more vocal and active in working against all discrimination, whether based on colour, race, religion or sex.

Emma’s work as a performer and teacher is rooted in her 10 years living and working in Wroclaw, Poland, with the Grotowski influenced Polish physical theatres, Song of the Goat Theatre and Teatr Zar. It has taken her on research trips searching for and learning songs and music from polyphonic traditions in Georgia, Corsica, Sicily and also the old folk traditions of Armenia and Scotland. Her early meeting and work with Siberian folk music and the Irkusk Ensemble changed her understanding of music and gave rise to her firm held belief that old traditional music has encoded in it stories, topography, history, and life lived.

Charles Sandford is a London born visual artist and performer, his artistic journey began at Kingston University in 2007 where he studied Fine Art and began developing a practice that combines sculpture, performance, and film. After practicing as an artist and exhibiting nationally Charles took his Masters at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. The MA Theatre Lab program at RADA introduced Charles to Polish Laboratory Theatre and Japanese Butoh Dance, this now informs a new point of research fusing his visual interests with his physical training.

Since graduating from RADA in 2015 Charles joined Animikii Theatre company for their production of 'Origins', Took the title role in Luvas Theatres 'Titus Andronicus', performed with artists Lucy Beech & Edward Thomasson at Tate Britain and toured Europe with TNT's version of 'Dracula'.

Emma is a London born artist, lover of wild places and Forrest yoga teacher. Her drawings are sensory windows that speak of the eternal connection between humans, nature and the Universe. She is fascinated with ancient ways of living and engaging with life through ceremony.

In 2012 she travelled with a horse caravan through the southern foothills of Oaxaca, Mexico with a troupe of musicians, dancers and acrobats for 6 long and astonishing months. To sing, dance, draw, to create is almost as important to Emma as breathing. They are vital channels of connection to one’s own body, mind, heart, each other and ultimately this vast and wondrous planet we live upon.

Vince earns his crust mainly at The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art where he teaches applied movement and devises movement theatre with the acting students on the MA, MFA and the Foundation courses. He has devised, movement directed and choreographed over 50 productions at the school over the last 12 years.

Before all of the teaching Vince trained at Rambert Dance School and subsequently toured internationally with Mathew Bourne’s Swan Lake.

Wanting to work and train in matters of text, Vince hung up his dancing shoes for a time to train as an actor on the BA in Classical Acting at L.A.M.D.A.

Vince’s work as an actor, dancer, movement director and choreographer has taken him to South Korea, Hong Kong, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Holland, Israel and Turkey. As an actor he has worked in film, television and in the corporate sector. His theatrical highlights have included performing in TitusAndronicus, Much Ado about Nothing, and The Merry Wives of Windsor at The Globe Theatre in Germany. Also Dorian Gray at The Leicester Square Theatre and more recently, writing and devising and performing in his solo debut show Wimp. Vince is also a founding member of The Authentic Artist Collective and very much enjoyed collaborating on their first theatrical outing Wolf which played in The Caves in Edinburgh, where incidentally he first met the artistic director of Òran Theatre.

Vince very much enjoys working with the expressive body and with text and seeing where the two collide, but new passions are extending to writing poetry and spending more time with his piano. He has also started to run his own artistic retreats in Devon with his wife and fellow theatre practitioner Lewis Barfoot.
