Since 2016, Eden’s Cave has been dedicated to transformational creative encounters through performance, film production, and land-based training. Devoted to facing the colossal challenges of our age, we cultivate a creative environment that supports experimentation and an interdisciplinary approach to art-making and research. From our base at Aercwel Mill in the Forest of Dean, we offer a space for deep creative enquiry, durational project building, and cross-art form collaboration to transform the way we make, live, and participate in urgent times.
EDEN - A devotion to the living world, the reverence of, and belief in, interconnection. A desire to live in a community and establish a new generation of performance-making practice.
CAVE - A symbol of gestation and creation, a place of sanctuary for art-making where the artist has time to vision without distraction from the heart.
EDEN’S CAVE - Throughout history, the forest and the cave have been otherworldly places of the imagination, entrances into the dreamtime for those who seek to tune into the mysteries of themselves and the world. We believe in the power of such listening and we ask how such a space might seed a new mythology in the deep places of our collective imagination.
There was never a cave in Eden; it is never spoken about. We ask then, what such a space might offer now and emphasise the commitment to building a new mythology.
